Casa Morana is located in Scicli, a land known for the eccentric beauty of its Baroque architecture and its beautiful natural landscapes. We are in south-eastern Sicily, a few kilometres from the coast, in a place with a mild and welcoming climate, gently caressed by the sun, particularly suited to the cultivation of tomatoes.
A fertile land that gives us healthy and tasty fruits by nature: these are the tomatoes that make our preserves unique, created to delight true food lovers, those who know how to appreciate the quality of the raw materials and distinguish the authenticity of the recipes. To prepare them, we are inspired by the teachings of our grandparents who, every summer, carefully selected the best tomatoes from the harvest to transform them into sauces and preserves.
Our processing therefore remains artisanal and is designed to respect our land and its gastronomic culture. This is how we manage to encapsulate, in each of our products, the most authentic flavours of the Sicilian tradition, in all their authenticity.
The tomato we grow in our greenhouses is already a sweet and appetising fruit on the plant. As soon as it is picked, it is brought to our workshop where it is processed and preserved, without the addition of additives or preservatives, to obtain a genuine and natural product of superior quality. The transformation process is artisanal and follows the techniques of Sicilian culinary culture.
But it is not only tradition that inspires us. The confrontation with our most loyal consumers, as well as with some starred chefs with whom we collaborate, pushes us to create ever new products, some of which are conceived as a true evolution of the most classic flavours.
